The Three Rivers Church of the Nazarene was a busy spot Saturday morning (June 22) with a free training session on the lifesaving skills involved with CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillation).

Thirty-three people participated in the free CPR/AED training offered Saturday at the Church of the Nazarene in Three Rivers. (Click on photo to enlarge)
The St. Joseph County United Way, in conjunction with the Three Rivers Fire Department (TRFD) and Sturgis Fire Department (SFD), sponsored the session from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church on the corner of US-131 and Coon Hollow Road.
During a late morning interview with the River Country Journal, Lieutenant Dave Cramton of the TRFD reported that 33 people were on hand to participate in the training. Cramton said he was “very pleased” with the turnout. (Dave Cramton audio clip – : 24)
Cramton said the training alternates between Three Rivers and Sturgis and hospitals in both communities have been very supportive.
Food for the day was provided by Yoders Countrymarket in Centreville.
